To make sure every child is happy, healthy & safe. We work to prevent child abuse and strengthen families in Black Hawk County.
To make sure children have the education, tools and voice they need to keep them safe from harm. We also empower parents with the knowledge and skills they need to raise their children in happy, healthy & safe homes.
Any parent in need of a parent education class is never charged. Schools are never charged for the sexual abuse prevention programming we present in the classrooms.
Whether it's in the classroom, in the home, a hospital room with a new mother or in a group-based setting, every program is designed with the same goal: to make sure every child is happy, healthy & safe.

“I recently gained joint custody of my daughter with the help of Parent Connection staff.
My daughter is doing so well and I’ve never been more confident as a father.
This program gave me everything I needed to make me the Dad that I’ve always wanted to be.”
“The Take Charge of Your Body program allows students to talk about difficult topics. Students have found the courage to come forward to share their stories and found adult help.
We’re very thankful for this program.”
“I was in a bad place when I became a mom. I had nothing to care for my son. I’m thankful that I got everything I needed for him and the help that I needed to make sure I was doing the right thing.”
